Tuition: $2,500 plus participants purchase approx $100 in materials

The rationale of the Orton-Gillingham Approach
Phonology and morphology
The motor component and the writing process
Vocabulary, reading comprehension, and fluency
Assessment and diagnostic-prescriptive teaching
The student profile, lesson plan, and teaching materials
The Academy structure and requirements
Certified Level Courses: Certified I

The Certified Level I course (40 hours) Tuition: $1400
The curriculum includes the following topics:
Knowledge of dyslexia and reading disabilities
Review of basic phonology and handwriting instruction
Case management and professional communications
Formal and informal assessment measures
Understanding and interpretation of standardized testing
Student profile and matching lesson plans
Knowledge of methods and programs derived from O.G.
Certified Level Courses: Certified II
Certified II:
Online Dates: to be determined for 2024
Certified Level II course (40 hours) Tuition: $1400
The curriculum includes the following topics:
The stages of words attack and the O.G. lesson plan
Review of phonology, phonics, and handwriting instruction
Study of morphology and advanced elements of the language
Exploration of the systematic, structured writing process
The teaching of vocabulary, comprehension, pragmatics, and study skills

Practicum Supervision -available at the Classroom Educator, Associate, and Certified levels.
Practicum Supervision: Associate and Certified Level
Associate Level Cost:
Approximately $3000 which covers the minimum of 10 full lesson observations and support with fulfillment of Academy requirements
Certified Level Cost:
Approximately $3000 which covers the minimum of 10 full lesson observations and support with fulfillment of Academy requirements
Practicum Supervision: Classroom Educator Training & Practicum
Cost: $1250 for the practicum which covers 5 full lesson observations.
(In some cases, additional observations are needed in which case there is added expense.)
